E\u2019 possibile implementare topologie multifase fino a 12 fasi in modo da ottimizzare i requisiti di filtraggio in ingresso e uscita per applicazioni a corrente elevate (fino a 300 A).<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019amplificatore differenziale fornisce il rilevamento a distanza della tensione di uscita sui terminali positivo e negativo, garantendo una regolazione molto precisa a prescindere da perdite IR su tracce, vias e interconnessioni. Le applicazioni includono alimentazioni per ASIC e FPGA, bus di distribuzione dell\u2019alimentazione, amplificatori audio ad alta potenza e server di rete.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->L\u2019LTC3856 funziona con tutti i MOSFET a canale N da tensioni di ingresso comprese tra 4,5 V e 38 V e pu\u00f2 supportare tensioni di uscita comprese tra 0,6 V e 5 V con una precisione di \u00b1 0,75%. La corrente in uscita viene rilevata misurando la caduta di tensione sull\u2019induttore di uscita (DCR) o utilizzando un resistore di rilevamento. La compensazione programmabile in temperatura della regolazione DCR\u00a0 mantiene un limite di sovracorrente preciso e costante in un ampio range di temperatura. I potenti driver per gate integrati riducono al minimo le perdite di commutazione dei MOSFET, consentendo l\u2019utilizzo di pi\u00f9 MOSFET collegati in parallelo. La frequenza operativa pu\u00f2 essere programmata in modo fisso da 250 kHz a 770 kHz oppure sincronizzata su un clock esterno grazie al PLL interno. L\u2019on-time minimo di soli 90 ns rende l\u2019LTC3856 la soluzione ideale per applicazioni con un elevato rapporto di step-down.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019LTC3856 prevede la tecnica regolabile Stage Shedding<sup>\u2122<\/sup> che consente di migliorare l\u2019efficienza in presenza di carichi leggeri eliminando le perdite dovute alla carica dei gate e le perdite di commutazione di una delle fasi di uscita. Inoltre l\u2019LTC3856 pu\u00f2 essere configurato per in funzionamento Burst Mode<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> regolabile per ottenere un rendimento ancora maggiore con carichi leggeri. Il suo AVP (Adaptive Voltage Positioning) riduce al minimo la deviazione della tensione transitoria massima durante uno step della corrente di carico.<\/p>\n<p>Le funzioni di tracking e sequencing consentono di ottimizzare l\u2019accensione e lo spegnimento di pi\u00f9 alimentatori. Tra le altre caratteristiche sono inclusi il controllo in current mode, un LDO incorporato per l\u2019alimentazione del circuito integrato, soft-start programmabile, un\u2019uscita power good e un sistema di controllo della tensione V<sub>CC<\/sub> esterna.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019LTC3856 \u00e8 disponibile in un package SSOP-38 con funzionalit\u00e0 termiche avanzate o un package QFN-32 da 5 mm x 5 mm e funziona con temperature di giunzione comprese tra -40\u00b0C e 125\u00b0C.
