Questo significa in pratica che non useremo pi\u00f9 le API proprietarie Google nel nostro codice, il che aiuter\u00e0 a distribuirlo anche negli <strong>smartphone Android<\/strong> che si basano unicamente sull&#8217;opensource e che non hanno quindi alcun tipo di applicazione proprieteria Google installata<\/em>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>Sin da quando, nel 2009,<strong> Google Maps ha superato Mapquest<\/strong>, \u00e8 stato l&#8217;unico operatore del settore per quello che riguarda le mappe online. Molti fattori hanno contribuito ad allontanare clientela da Google, probabilmente il primo dei quali si \u00e8 verificato quando a Gennaio,<strong> Google ha annunciato di volere domandare un compenso per l&#8217;uso pubblico delle API di Google Maps,<\/strong>\u00a0ed inoltre la tempistica di arrivo al pubblico di OpenStreetMap.<\/p>\n<p>OpenStreetMap consiste per grandi linee nell&#8217;aggregazione di centinaia di migliaia di dati collezionati e spediti da volontari, realizzando un progetto completamente opensource, il cui unico obbligo nell&#8217;utilizzo \u00e8 quello di citare OpenStreetMap stesso. Inoltre, evidentemente per logiche di concorrenza,<strong> Microsoft ha finanziato entusiasticamente il progetto OpenStreetMap<\/strong> sin dal 2010 anche attraverso consulenza tecnica. <strong>Apple parimenti ha deciso di passare ad OpenStreetMap<\/strong> almeno sino a quando non sar\u00e0 in grado di sviluppare da solo le proprie cartine toopografiche.<\/p>\n<p>Sebbene Google Maps rimanga ancora il maggiore attore nel campo delle mappe online, l&#8217;allontanamento dei grandi clienti potrebbe iniziare una reazione a catena che difficilmente Google riuscir\u00e0 a gestire senza rivedere la propria politica economica.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"font-size: 0px; height: 0px; line-height: 0px; margin: 0; padding: 0; clear: both;\"><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>OpenStreetMap \u00e8 l&#8217;antagonista di Google Maps.
